Our Story

A community for forgotten flavors.

Welcome to The Seed Keepers — a non-profit community built to preserve biodiversity, one story at a time.

Do you remember the taste of oranges 🍊 that were both sweet and sour? The vegetables that didn't look perfect but tasted like something real? We're not here only for the rarest or most exotic seeds. We're here for any seed that carries a story worth passing on and for the people willing to share it. We are here to listen, to grow, and to remember together.

The Mission

  • 1
Saving biodiversity and preserving the flavors the market forgot
  • 2
Building genuine bonds between people at a time when that's harder than it should be
  • 3
Creating real-world activities that offer the kind of mental stimulation and meaning that a screen simply cannot provide

Getting Started

Getting Started with The Seed Keepers

Welcome to The Seed Keepers. We are here to listen, to grow, and to remember together. You don't need to be an agricultural expert from day one—you just need curiosity, a bit of growing space, and a belief that forgotten flavors deserve a second life.

    1. Choose Your Path

  • 🌱 Seed Seeker: You are looking for new varieties to grow.
  • 🤝 Seed Giver: You are ready to share your seeds and their stories.
  • 🌳 Seed Keeper: You are committed to the long game of preserving specific heirloom varieties.

2. Complete the Manifesto & Registration Submit your application. Be prepared to share a garden memory that matters to you and agree to absolute honesty regarding seed identity.

3. Fulfill the Zero-Balance Requirement (No Money Accepted by the Group) Once accepted, please donate a minimum of 100 THB directly to the official bank account of any registered environmental organization in Thailand (e.g., Wildlife Fund Thailand, or others of your choice). How We Operate

We believe in clarity, honesty, and mutual respect. Read through our core principles.

We cultivate a supportive environment where we grow together. Respect and patience are mandatory. • Mutual Respect: Guide one another gently; not everyone shares the same level of expertise. • No Ego: Boasting, belittling, or one-upmanship is strictly prohibited.
Exchanges are built on personal connection, accountability, and privacy. • Requesting Seeds: Send a handwritten letter with return postage. Keepers may ask a small question or favor in return. • Tracking & Feedback: Log all exchanges in the system and send meaningful feedback upon receiving your seeds. • Strict Privacy: Member addresses and contact details must never be shared outside the group.
We operate strictly within the law. The exchange of illegal seeds, controlled substances, or illicit narcotics is absolutely forbidden. • No Illegal Activities: Using this network to distribute or acquire banned plants or restricted invasive species will result in an immediate, permanent ban.
Collaborations and commercial endeavors are allowed but require full disclosure. • Total Transparency: Members must be fully informed upfront about any industry partnerships or commercial ties.
Trust is our foundation. Intentionally providing false information about seeds—such as mislabeling varieties or fabricating seed histories—will result in an immediate, permanent ban. • Creative Freedom: Creative fiction and poetry are warmly welcomed, provided the actual seed identity remains factual.
We are an unincorporated community with a strict, zero-balance philosophy. Every bit of money is visible and dedicated entirely to our mission. • 100% Visibility: All income and expenses are open to every member. • Zero Standing Balance: We maintain no formal treasury. Any event surplus is immediately donated to legally registered foundations.
